Chevre Wontons with Red Grape and Pancetta

Makes 12 Servings



  • 12 Wonton Wrappers
  • 4 ½ oz Herbed Chevre Cheese
  • 6 Large Seedless Red Grapes
  • 2 Slices of Pancetta, cut into 1 inch squares ¼ inch thick


  1. Wet a cutting board and place the wrappers on the board
  2. Flip over to ensure both sides of each wrapper are moist
  3. Place a piece of pancetta in the center of each wonton wrapper followed by a 1 inch ball of chevre and top with half a grape as a cap
  4. Do this for each square
  5. Bring opposite corners together and pinch do the same for the other corners and fold edges to seal the "dough"
  6. Reserve on a plate with parchment paper allowing the bottom of the purses to have air flow to dry
  7. Heat a deep fryer with vegetable oil to 375
  8. Add in wontons for approximately 335 seconds or until golden brown and even coloured
  9. Remove and allow to cool slightly before serving



  • 3 tbsp Favourite Fruit Preserve
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar


  1. Use a fork to mix thoroughly and using a basting brush, streak the serving plate where you will be placing the wontons
  2. Serve with sprinkles of finely chopped scallions
