Kabiaki Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs Green Tiger Shrimp
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar Packed
  • ⅛ cup Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
  • ⅛ cup Soy Sauce
  • ⅛ cup Thai Basil, diced
  • ½ cup Sweet Onion, minced
  • 4 Garlic Buds, minced
  • 1 tbsp Sambal Oelek

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients stirring until the sugar has dissolved
  2. Let stand for 20 min
  3. Place shrimp into a large glass casserole dish after butterflying and cleaning
  4. Pour ¾ of the marinade over the shrimp covering them
  5. Allow to sit for 15 minutes
  6. Turn shrimp and let sit for 10 minutes
  7. Place remaining marinade into a nonstick pan and simmer until thickened
  8. BBQ shrimp until half cooked
  9. Remove and place back into marinade
  10. Let sit for 8 minutes
  11. Place back on to BBQ and cook until tender
  12. Plate and pour marinade from pan until shrimp are covered
